Our client, a global Financial Services firm with headquarters in New York and locations around the world, is currently seeking a Director/Executive Director level Equity Compensation expert to design and execute an equity strategy in preparation for their upcoming IPO. This role is fully remote for the time being, but will transition on-site to their Midtown location when it is safe to do so.
This highly visible role will sit on a ~20 person HR team and with the support of a junior resource will help the firm navigate the intricacies of transitioning to a public model, combining strategic design with execution of the eventual program. You will partner with senior firm leadership and cross-functionally to determine eligibility, build processes and drive compliance with legal, tax and finance requirements. This role will be a true subject matter expert, educating stakeholders on equity components, process and considerations, and will have unmatched access and exposure at a crucial and exciting time for the firm.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in compensation, focused primarily on equity, with at least 5+ years in a leadership/strategic capacity. Experience in a public company is required; having supported the transition of a company from private to public is highly preferred.
