A leading financial institution is currently seeking a Head of Learning & Development to develop and implement a high-quality learning environment. The role is a replacement hire, and the business want to use this as an opportunity to drive and improve the UK's Learning offering and work closely with ExCo members to cultivate a deep understanding of the business and it's objectives.
You will be responsible for the entire L&D offering across the business including leadership development, technical skills training and managing the training curriculum. The role requires someone who enjoys getting to know the business and can translate training needs into impactful programmes with the best-in-class approaches.
The role will oversee two Learning Specialists, and as a team you will be designing the best training solutions (either in-house or using an external provider), piloting new training content, embedding the use of technical and behavioural competencies and delivering skills workshops. The team also manages the annual performance management cycle and twice-yearly performance reviews and goal-setting.
This role requires someone with a strong L&D background who is able to engage authoritatively with senior stakeholders. It's a visible role with direct contact to the ExCo and you must have managed a team previously to be considered for this. Financial Services experience is preferred, ideally from an Asset Management or Private Equity environment and you must be available to start in the next few weeks.
