A publicly traded, growing life sciences company with 125 domestic employees, is looking to hire a Director of Learning and Development. This is a newly created role within the company, and will report to the company's SVP of HR, based in NJ. With the business continuing to scale rapidly, they feel this is the right time to bring someone onto the team who can formalize all aspects of their L&D offering for employees.
The company is utilizing ADP Workforce Now as their HRIS, and is in the midst of implementing Netsuite. They have partnered with LinkedIn Learning to provide robust learning content for their employees. The Director will own all aspects of learning and development from design to administration. The right candidate will need a strong background in building out and scaling the L&D capability, with expertise in learning theory, needs analysis, instructional design, vendor management, budgetary management, and blended and e-learning. Our client is seeking candidates with 10+ years of expertise in learning and development, ideally gained in small environments where they have had to build the function from the ground up. Experience within the life sciences sector is required. An entrepreneurial spirit is key, as the Director will be building many of the programs from scratch. There is a tremendous opportunity for impact in this role, particularly for someone who is comfortable toggling between setting strategy and getting into the gritty minutia of training and development. An undergraduate degree is required.
Our client is offering a competitive base compensation package + bonus + an initial grant of equity and a generous employee stock purchase plan. This role is hybrid, with an expectation of working onsite 3 days per week.
