We're partnering with a highly successful, growing global hedge fund based in New York City in their efforts to hire a Recruiter. This is a newly created role reporting to a recently appointed Director of Recruiting and will be part of a team of 6 individuals dedicated to attracting top talent as the firm expands into new asset classes with an eye towards significant growth in AUM and headcount over the next 2 years.
The Director of Recruiting is looking to develop a team that will provide a hi-touch experience to both hiring managers and prospective candidates. The team is currently comprised of 1 Recruiter, who supports front office, and 1 Recruiter, who supports corporate functions. There are 2 high-functioning Recruiting Assistants, who support the recruiting team in their various administrative needs, but also directly handle early career, administrative, and campus recruiting. The Director of Recruiting will execute searches alongside the team, but expects each recruiter to optimally carry about 10 searches. This Recruiter will pivot between supporting front office and corporate functions searches. Our client aspires to create a team of recruiters who are highly evaluative in their approach to interviewing, can act as talent partners to hiring managers with the ability to translate their deep knowledge of the talent market into hiring solutions, and have well-developed direct sourcing abilities to reduce search agency dependence and expense.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the investment management space, either gained at a search agency or a mix of search agency and corporate experience. Critical to success is polish coupled with a "hunter" mindset when it comes to identifying top talent. This role will sit onsite in our client's Midtown office (convenient to Grand Central Terminal) 2-3 days per week astride the recruitment team with an expectation of working onsite 1 day per week in the company's Greenwich, CT office. As the company intends to grow from 240 employees to 400 employees in the next two years, this role offers an excellent opportunity for impact in a scaling, hi-caliber firm.
