Site HR Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global business based in South Wales as the Site HR Manager for a manufacturing site. The position reports directly into Group with a dotted line into the Site Director and with one direct report. This is a 4 month FTC with the opportunity to go permanent.

The position has two focal points that are very closely aligned. Firstly you will need to work in close partnership with the Senior Leadership team to build an effective HR strategy and plan for the site, this will involve looking at all current processes, policies and procedures to enable you to build an effective HR strategy. Secondly, this will require you to be very hands-on operationally, acting as the first point of contact for all people-related activities to include: employee engagement, coaching and developing the senior leadership team, employee and industrial relations, succession planning and performance management, recruitment, HR management information and training. There will be some key projects to develop and implement, particularly around culture and core values, appraisals, performance and succession planning, and leadership development. You will also have the opportunity to work on some global projects moving forward.

They are looking for a pro-active and self-starting HR Manager who has worked in a similar site based manufacturing environment. With strong knowledge of UK employment law you will have the ability to develop HR strategies, deliver change in a fast-paced working environment and be able to work operationally. Alongside your broad HR generalist experience, you will be able to build and manage relationships at a senior level, possess good business/financial acumen and have great communication skills.

The site is easily accessible and commutable from Cardiff, Newport, Caerphilly, Pontypridd, Bridgend and surrounding areas. Due to the nature of the assignment, you must be available immediately.
